Strong authentication

Two-factor authentication provides unambiguous identification of users by means of the combination of two different components. In we provide three methods for strong authentication:

  • E-identification (BankID)
  • Google Authenticator
  • Username/Password, plus a verification code sent to your mobile phone

The reason for using strong authentication is that the data accessed on the study web page can potentially include health status and other sensitive data, so it’s necessary to take extra precaution in determining that a participant can only access his or her own information.

Research data communicated in the services is encrypted to prevent data from falling into wrong hands.
